From other terminals

Connecting from outside Folto needs permission first.

1. Allow

Turn on Settings › Integrations › Allow connections from external terminals.

2. Copy the command

1. Open the project in Folto and click Not connected (or 1 connected, …) above the terminal
2. Under External terminals, click Copy for the tool you use

Tool	What to do
Claude Code	Run the copied command in the project folder
Codex	Add Codex (config.toml) to ~/.codex/config.toml, then run the Codex (token) command before starting Codex

Caution

The copied commands contain the project’s token. Don’t send them to others or paste them anywhere public. If a token may have leaked, click Regenerate Token in the same section; the old token stops working.

3. Check the connection

When the indicator above Folto’s terminal shows 1 connected (or more), you’re connected.

The board MCP stops while Folto is closed. Keep the project open in Folto while you use it.
