Your first project

In Folto, a folder is a project. It can hold code, documents, or notes. On this page you’ll open a folder and have Folto AI draw a diagram of the project.

1. Open a folder

1. Open Folto, click Open Folder…, and choose a folder. Projects you opened before are under Recent
2. Files appear on the left, the board in the middle, and Folto AI sessions on the right

Your first board has already been created. Boards are saved in .aiboard/ inside the folder you opened. You can add as many boards to a project as you like (⌥⌘N).

2. Ask Folto AI

The right panel asks “What do you want to do in this project?”

1. Choose the Draw the project’s architecture card
2. Add details in the field if you like (for example, “just the app itself”). You can also send it as is
3. Press ↩ to send

Folto AI reads your files and places frames, cards, and connectors on the board. Everything it adds is marked as AI-made.

3. Refine

Move and edit the diagram like any sticky note or shape. Not what you wanted? Undo This Reply’s Changes under the reply reverts everything at once.
