What is the board MCP?
Folto exposes the open project’s board as an MCP server (the common way to connect tools to AI). We call it the board MCP. Connect Claude Code or Codex and they can read and draw on the board — on your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription.
What they can do
Section titled “What they can do”- Read the board: what’s on it and what’s selected (all plans)
- Draw on the board: add, change, and delete sticky notes, shapes, cards, frames, and connectors (Connect and up)
- Show things: bring what they drew into view in the app

Safety
Section titled “Safety”- The board MCP is only open on this Mac (other machines can’t connect)
- Each project uses its own token
- Claude Code and Codex are told to check with you before changing or deleting what people placed
- Files not sent to AI can’t be read through the board MCP either
